The house is set back approximately thirty metres from the sea front and is surrounded by many coconut and almond trees providing good shade. The beach frontage of the property is approximately fifty metres and the rear road frontage is approximately one hundred metres. All buildings are under a makuti coconut thatched roof with plaster ceilings and the main house has tiled floors throughout. The roofs were re-built and thatched in 2004.
Msambweni is forty-five kilometres south of Mombasa Island, approximately one hour from the Likoni ferry and half an hour drive from Ukunda/Diani. Access is on a good tarmac road except for the last two kilometres comprising an all weather coral road. Msambweni Beach has over three kilometres of white sand protected by fringing reefs and has excellent swimming, snorkelling, diving and boating at all states of the tide. There is good anchorage in the NE Monsoon (November – March) and deep water at all tides.
